New look for link shares on Google+ introduced some new problems to G+ API.
Activities received over G+ API do not contain any information about the link itself, no url, no title, nothing. Bug was reported (thanks Gerwin Sturm) but it may take Google+ team some time to fix it.
So for the time being we do not recommend to use new links if is it possible.
UPDATE: Google fixed it! Problem solved.

ReplyDeleteWhat is meant by "the new links"?
ReplyDeleteAre there certain APIs that are affected and others that are not? It sounds like data in activities.list is no longer getting populated?
ReplyDeleteKee Hinckley well, this new feature is not yet available to all G+ accounts and I am not sure if is it possible to not to use it. I am still trying to collect more info about it.
ReplyDeleteGus Class plus.activities.get and plusPages.activities.get is affected too.

ReplyDeleteDid Google+ changed the way image thumbnail is been selected or showed? I couldn't select an image thumbnail to post AND the image and links are not appearing after Friends+ Me post to twitter.
ReplyDeleteJosh Peck yes, but I don't know if is it possible to override this new link feature.
ReplyDeleteAny idea of when it will be working? Friends+Me
