Google Plus is Not Dead - Helps with SEO

Google Plus is Not Dead - Helps with SEO Mike Blumenthal discussing a case study we worked on together where we were able to move the needle on Local and Organic search within 18 days and continued to impact search rankings even after the Possum update. Using semantic relevance techniques and posting to relevant/engaged follower base is part of the key. The trusted entities working together cause an increase in ranking. Content+Followers+Engagement=Semantic Rank Impact Mike also discussed some tests where the semantic relevance of Yelp reviews could trigger map pack results, all based on semantic relevance. #localu #socailseo #localseo Ping David Amerland Dustin W. Tips for Creating a High Quality Collection Here are some guidelines to help you create a high quality Collection, attract new followers and create meaningful engagement: Topic, Title and Tagline: Your Collection must have one clear and consistent topic. Never miss another great Community post

Image
Never miss another great Community post Great conversations make for vibrant Communities, and there’s no better conversation starter than an interesting post. But with all the activity lively Communities have, even the most compelling posts can slide out of view before you have a chance to see them. To make sure you never miss out on what’s up, we’re changing the way Community posts are displayed to show you the good stuff first. Starting today, whenever you visit a Community, you’ll see the most high quality, relevant posts up top, rather than the just the most recent ones. Of course, if you’d like to switch back to chronological view, it’s easy to do so from the Community Settings / Preferences menu. We’ll be rolling this out gradually, so please visit your favorite Community and let us know what you think!
